Ufology Exopolitics Special: Source A Exposed!

Hold the Pickles and the Special Source

The UN Building in New YorkWhat is Source A?

“Source A” is allegedly an active-duty officer in the United States Navy with a long and illustrious career, spanning nearly 40 years at sea. Nothing remarkable about that, surely? Well, as soon as you factor in the information that this particular individual liaises with Extra Terrestrial races on behalf of the UN, his career suddenly takes on a much more remarkable angle. The aforementioned ET’s allegedly have a direct political involvement in our (human) affairs, but damn, I don’t remember voting reptilian!

The fantastical story as told by “Source A” is a huge hit amongst the Exopolitical crowd, for obvious reasons. One would be forgiven for thinking that this particular story couldn’t have come along at a better time for people like Salla, Greer, Webre, Komarek et al. Two previously little known individuals, brothers by the names of Clay and Shawn Pickering, are solely to thank for catapulting this story onto an unsuspecting public in early 2008 and they have been keeping us updated ever since. Their unflinching devotion to the message is a credit to their stamina and willpower. The many obvious flaws in the story have been pointed out to them countless times, yet still they remain, still they continue. They have of course been helped by the venue they have chosen to promote this exopolitical wet dream; the “Open Minds” forum.

The Open Minds forum is well known throughout the ufological community as a place for fantasists and would-be-hoaxers to peddle their wares in comfort and without fear of reprisal. Many of those OM members who have cried foul at the Pickering’s claims, have found themselves summarily suspended and in some cases permanently banned for their troubles.

How fitting then, that it would be there that the significant first nail in the coffin of the Source A “disclosure” would be hammered home. They just didn’t know it yet.

Secret Meetings: Intrigue and Suspense

On the 9th April this year, Clay Pickering, posting as ‘temporal’ at OM, posted the following short message along with the attached photo (resized and rotated for convenience):

“Hey OMF, here’s an attachment I want you to have a look at.”

Navy League Luncheon Navy League Luncheon

Followed quickly by the posting of another photo (on the right, above)

What was going on here?, we wondered.  We didn’t have too long to wait before he posted the following :

“Dear OMF,

Recently I was at a “function” that involved Chief of Naval Operations/Admiral Gary Roughhead. Admiral Roughhead before 130 people (Navy & State Dept. & UN delegates) discussed the future of the Navy and its policies with nation-states. Needles to say, the admiral’s lecture was fascinating. For now, until I am given permission on what I can say about the event and “WHO” attended (no names or ranks will be forthcoming), I will refrain from commenting on the specifics. Yes, our source was there. Yes, I was the ONLY participant not on the original list and had to be “vetted” by Four different people in order to get in. Yes, our source had to vouch for me.

And most importantly of all, I met our source’s (third) counterpart to the UN!”

The implications of the message were quite clear, and Michael Salla arrived barely minutes later to reinforce the apparent significance of the meeting with the following post:

“Thanks Clay for sharing this information. I’m excited by the implications of you being given permission to start revealing what you heard and who was in attendance at the ‘function’ featuring Admiral Roughhead. Especially, the meeting with Source A’s (third) replacement at the UN with responsibility over the UFO discussions that have been secretly occurring in various fora since Source A’s replacement. The photo is significant since it shows that someone had to pull various strings to get you into that ‘function’, and that senior people in the Navy approve of your presence, and the implications of senior Navy personnel being discussed in relation UFO disclosure. So I look forward to more coming and thank you for your incredible patience in dealing with the public on this very complex and sensitive topic.”

Just in case there could be any confusion, Clay reiterated that this was clearly a highly secure and important meeting:

“I know there will be many questions, please be patient. Again, we want to respect security and the wishes that the participants shall remain anonymous.”

Followed by yet more intrigue and secrecy barely minutes later:

“We learned of this event with very little notice. This was purposely done to guarantee that security would be high with no advance warning, hence the nature of the vetting process. What also spoke volumes to Shawn and me is the high regard our source’s brethern hold him ( I conveyed the elements to Shawn later). Geez…talk about our guy working a room (lol). I can tell you guys without a doubt I was looked over pretty good; especially, source’s counterpart. Solid eye contact was made towards me by the counterpart when counterpart saw “our guy” speaking to me. It was at a later point that I introduced myself to the counterpart and engaged in small talk. The counterpart is a pro and our guy has a very high regard for this person. Yes, our guy was involved with briefing the counterpart about a week before the Korean hubbaloo. We learned this later by the way. Keep in mind guys, nothing was broached by me about the phenomena. I felt it was best to just observe and listen.

When your the only guy not vetted prior to the event, you better hold your cards close. Also, the event required that everyone pay sixty dollars a plate. I was relieved that I was asked to pay after I got vetted. The chicken tastes better and no one likes a crasher (lol).

Again guys, please refrain from asking any specific questions at this point. I just got off the phone (clicking like hell by the way) with our guy and told him we need to sit down and be clear on what I can say. This may take a little time.”

The above comments by Pickering and Salla are extremely important  in order to accurately determine their agenda and intent by posting such information. The reader is left in no doubt as to the significance and implications of this function: Disclosure is real and it’s happening now. Indeed it is. Let’s have some real disclosure.

What really happened: The Navy League Luncheon

Former Open Minds co-administrator ‘JeddyHi’, first name John, posted some real disclosure barely hours after the above comments had been made:

“Temp, your making this sound way more mysterious than it really is.

The photo is from the New York Athletic Club where the Admiral addressed the New York Council of the Navy League.

Cost to attend the Admiral’s speech, for members, $50.00.

Non- members, $60.00.

At least that price included open bar with wine, beer and soft drinks!

The Admiral had a busy day. He also stopped at NYU Poly Tech and the New York City Yacht Club where he talked about the same thing….the mission of the Navy and its global effects.

I wonder if State Dept personnel and UN delegates were present for that one as well. ;)”

Clearly, Mr. Pickering hadn’t counted on anyone actually checking into the details of Admiral Roughhead’s PUBLIC speaking engagements! The Navy League Luncheon was a public event and had been advertised as such on their official website for weeks beforehand.  John not only checked the details online, he also went directly to the source and contacted one of the organisers of the luncheon, Mr Rick Kenney, the Executive Director of the New York Navy League.

I was wondering if you could clarify something. The recent luncheon (April 8th) with Admiral Roughead at the New York Athletic Club was attended by an acquaintance I know who claimed that the luncheon was also attended by State Dept personnel and UN delegates. He also claimed that no note taking was allowed. He definitely attended the function as he has a picture of himself with the Admiral in the background. I know that tickets to non-members were offered but I am surprised at his claim of State Dept personnel and UN delegates being present for a lecture/luncheon that was for intents and purposes a ‘public’ event. Does my aquaintance perhaps exaggerate?

Thanks for any insight.

Mr. Kenney replied a few days later:

MR. *:  A cursory review of our records indicates that you are not currently a member of the New York Council of the Navy League.  Hence, I am puzzled at the reason for, and context of, your inquiry to this office.  Based on the claims you present, it appears that your unnamed “friend” is misinformed.  The CNO’s appearance was publicized, and was indeed intended as, a “public event,” as are most of his presentations.  He was accompanied by members of his own staff.  There were no “State Department personnel” in attendance.  There were also no “UN Delegates” in attendance. There were members of one or more foreign consular staffs in the room as guests of members of the Navy League and/or Naval Order, which co-sponsored the event.  This is nothing out of the ordinary, and they are, of course, part of the public at large, which we are pleased to welcome to any and all our sponsored events.  RICK

John also sought clarification from Joe Buff, a  blogger who attended the event and reported as such with his article CNO Reflects on Navy “Tipping Point” Factors. Joe confirmed the same thing as Rick Kenney; the luncheon was a public event, the list of attendees was public knowledge, there was no secrecy surrounding the event and what’s more, members of the public were actively encouraged to attend! Quite different indeed from the cloak and dagger intrigue the Pickering’s and friends had attempted to portray.

While this event was to turn into a major source of embarrassment for the Pickering’s and Source A, they couldn’t possibly have known exactly how bad things were going to get.

Faces in a Crowd

In the spirit of the gathering being a public event, the Navy League itself posted a large number of photographs from the luncheon on their website, 100 of them to be precise! CNO Luncheon 2010.

This public sharing of information, along with the tenacity of two people who were sick and tired of this charade being played by the Pickering’s and associated hanger’s on, would finally yield a breakthrough in the quest for the truth of the Source A tale.

John, we have already read about. Enter Andy Murray, a colourful character known to many by his online handle Murnut (latterly Mur) at the infamous Open Minds forum, the popular conspiracy website, and of course here at Reality Uncovered.

Andy used to be a prolific poster at Open Minds, but that counted for nothing in the eyes of the OM powers-that-be when he ended up getting himself banned for his unrelenting sceptical stance against the Pickering’s.

Around the time of the Navy League Fiasco, we contacted John and enquired about the possibility of working together in an attempt to crack open the Source A case. We had seen his valiant attempts at exposing the nonsense behind the story fall on largely deaf ears, so we thought a collaborative effort might have more success. John agreed and suggested we bring Andy on board, an offer we immediately accepted. This collaborative approach was exactly what was needed and we didn’t have long to wait for it to bear the ripest of fruits.

Clay's table at the Navy LuncheonThanks to the Pickering’s posting their photos of Admiral Roughhead to their Source A thread, AND the Navy League posting 100 photos of the event to their official website, Andy and John were able to narrow down the suspects for the Source A character down to just two or three likely candidates. They did this simply by identifying where in the room Clay’s photos were shot from and correlating that perspective with the many photos available on the Navy League website.

It was a simple, yet brilliant piece of investigative skill. What’s more, there would be more to come.

Clay's table at the Navy League Luncheon

Narrowing down the list of suspects from three to one wasn’t going to be easy, but fortunately for us, the Pickering’s made this task much easier by having Source A visit with a number of well known members of the Ufology circuit. RU’s Ryan Dube has maintained an amicable working relationship with one of those people, so when Andy asked us if we could contact him and ask him to verify, Ryan jumped at the chance and fired off an email containing a number of photos and some background information.

Imagine our excitement when little over an hour later, he replied with the following:

“My recollection of him suggests that he is the guy at the left in the light colored suit

The other suggested photos show very dark images, some of which might be poor pictures of him.”

Enter stage left, Source A:

Source A on the leftLink to original

For the first time since the story began, Source A now had a face. He was still anonymous, but now in name only. Remarkably, thanks to the combined efforts of Andy and John, within a few short hours we also had his name.

CSI New York: Identifying Source A

The picture identified by our source yielded a very important clue. He was wearing a pin on his lapel, along with a tie-pin depicting an aircraft. The lapel pin, the US Flag above a blue cross was identified by John as being the symbol of the “Naval Order of the United States”, a naval society with Commanderies in many US Cities; New York included.

Andy didn’t need any further encouragement. He quickly found the website of the New York Naval Order Commandery and set about searching for further clues. In an ideal world, a world where scriptwriters make the rules perhaps, he would find another photo of the person identified as being Source A and he would be sporting a name tag. Of course, such things only happen in the movies and poorly written novels, don’t they?

No, no they don’t.

Richard Theilmann aka Source A

The 17th picture along gave us precisely that. Source A wearing a name tag! Move over Source A, say hello to Richard Theilmann.

Link to original

It was a fantastic spot by Andy and the find prompted a frenzy of searching for further references to Richard Theilmann. We can thank all that is good that he isn’t called Richard Smith! Theilmann is a much easier name to find relevant results for. By this time, Andy, John and the RU team had been joined by Bryce Weiner, a member of conspiracy website who goes by the name of Cogburn. The threads at Amkon had become the place to go to if one wanted to discuss the material released by the Pickering’s with any semblance of logic and reason.
It was Bryce who found Theilmann’s contact details and it was also he who found a veritable treasure trove of information on his MySpace site. Yes, that’s right. Earth’s ambassador to alien races has a MySpace website.

Social Networking, ET Style

Richard Theilmann's MySpaceThere could be no doubt that this was the person we were looking for. He had kindly provided a wealth of information and photographs which confirmed beyond all suspicion that this was the man with Clay Pickering at the New York Navy League Luncheon and the same man pictured on the New York Commandery website of the US Naval Order. Richard Theilmann, male, 56 years old of Astoria, New York. Luckily for us, there aren’t a great many Richard Theilmann’s in the whole of the US, never mind New York. His age and location confirmed the details unearthed by Bryce as being accurate.

We couldn’t wait to read all about this very important person, and from the man himself, no less. Let us not forget, even if only a little of what we are led to believe about him is true, this person, Richard Theilmann aka Source A, would be one of the most important human beings who had ever lived!

“Ok, I’m an outgoing, friendly guy who people tell me that I give way too much of myself. So I guess selfish is not one of my faults. I love to flirt and enjoy talking to people. I’ve been known to be that guy who starts conversations at the bar or at parties. Love to party and dance, although I can’t quite do ballroom dancing but I’d love to take lessons with a sexy female.”

Hmm, not quite what we were expecting from our VIP, but let’s continue:

“OK, Now we get to the sex part………… Nothing is more powerful or erotic as a woman who is turned on and wants it as much as I do. I really prefer to play with a woman who enjoys herself. Chemistry is all the thing. Now, I could go on and on and talk about ……………. but you’ll have to email me.”

Now that is definitely NOT what we were expecting from our ambassador to the universe!

As if that wasn’t enough, he lets us in on some more of his “secrets”. Towards the end of the biography section is this snippet:

“Oh, and as for being a Male Slave…. it’s all around great fun and a blast of a party ice breaker. Privately, with the right woman it’s awsome, and, yes, that IS a lock on my balls….. the birthday girl gets the key”

Richard Theilmann aka Source A like you've never seen him before

Is this the kind of person who we want taking care of our intergalactic affairs? It’s a Rhetorical question, there aren’t any intergalactic affairs to take care of in the first place.

Further clues to his real identity were quickly forthcoming. With all of us searching at the same time, it was sometimes difficult to keep up with relevant leads and information, events were moving at a frenetic pace and it was imperative we didn’t miss anything.

Separating Fact from Fiction

The Naval Order website provided us with another important piece of the puzzle. On the NY homepageis a list of the Order’s leadership. Toward the bottom of the list we have Richard Theilman, but misspelled with one ‘n’. We know the correct spelling because it is listed elsewhere on the site and on his nametag in the picture above. Quite surprisingly, his name is listed as the “Asst. Chaplain” of the New York Commandery. Also surprising is the omission of rank. All active serving members of the Navy would normally be listed with their rank displayed alongside their name. We know he should be active because the Pickering’s have told us so often enough. In fact, they were quite specific regarding Theilmann’s career.

“Not at all, Jeddyhi. Especially because the “reach” is coming from someone who has worn the uniform since 1968!; Especially since this officer has worked at Area 51.; Especially since this officer was tasked to be a diplomatic representative with the State Department, with military credentials, for disclosure to the UN; Especially since this officer met with his counterparts in Europe; Especially since this officer has and continues to liaise with the “boys topside”; Especially since this officer was able to get a non-listed (not cleared) member into a very significant luncheon using his pull; Especially since this officer allowed me to meet his UN counterparts; And most importantly, especially because this officer is a gentleman and has never lied to us.”

We are expected to believe that he had “worn the uniform” since 1968, yet we now know he is 56 years old, born in 1953 in fact. In 1968 this would make him 15 years old, clearly impossible for him to have been in the Navy. What’s more, there is further proof that what the Pickering’s are telling us, couldn’t possibly be true. They have repeated often that he is still on active duty, but elsewhere on the Naval Order website is information that shows that to be another lie.

If we scroll down to the 4th photo, we see another picture of Richard, this time with his wife Mary, and the caption: “LCDR Richard and Mary Theilmann”. The Facebook site of the order gives the same rank for Richard, namely LCDR, which is short for “lieutenant commander”.

LCDR Richard Theilman and wife Mary

The LCDR officer rank is classed as a junior officer with a pay grade of o-4 (From WikiPedia). More senior ranks, from commander through captain and all the way up to admiral are ranked from o-5 to o-10 respectively. Surely we can be forgiven for thinking a task of such enormous importance as that allegedly carried out by Source A, should be given to someone with a more significant pay grade? It matters not, because as RU co-administrator Access Denied was to show, there is no way a LCDR could serve as long as 40 years or more in any case.

“In addition to regulating promotion opportunity and timing, DOPMA (Defense Officer Personnel Management Act of 1980) provides for an “up-or-out” promotion system that further standardizes career patterns. Under that system, officers who are not promoted to O-2, O-3, or O-4 after being reviewed for promotion for the second time must leave the military. To complete 20 years of service and become eligible for retirement, officers must attain the pay grade of O-4.(2) To remain beyond 20 years, they must advance even farther. Officers in pay grades O-5 and O-6 may complete 28 and 30 years of service, respectively.

2. The service secretaries, however, have the authority to permit an officer in pay grade O-4 to remain on active duty until completing 24 years of service.”

We will soon know for sure exactly how long LCDR Richard Theilmann served his country for. One thing is for sure, it most certainly wasn’t 40 years and it is extremely doubtful it was even close to 20 years – if at all!

Rewriting History

The evidence against the Pickering’s was mounting fast. All over the internet we were finding clues and references that were allowing us to build up a picture of Theilmann’s life, a picture very much different to that portrayed by Clay and Shawn Pickering.

For example, we were led to believe that Theilmann, in the guise of Source A, was a veritable hero in the aftermath of the horrific Katrina hurricane that hit New Orleans in 2005.

“When the devastation of Katrina had hit its zenith in New Orleans, a contingent of military VOLUNTEERS had made their way to the Superdome. One of those who VOLUNTEERED was our guy. When the contingent received word that there were gang rapes going on in the Superdome, our guy and a few Marines took part in finding these bottom-feeders. They would find the women who had been raped including some of their children and asked them to point out who took part in this abomination. The woman (with corroboration) proceeded to point out the rapists. Word spread quickly among the rapists that the military was arresting and rounding them up. This made things more difficult, obviously. The contingent would find these people [?] hiding in dirty laundry baskets, one in a container of feces and every place imaginable to get away. Some of these rapists would fight, some would just give up. By the time the contingent finally rounded up who they could find, it would be around twenty four rapists. There were far more who got away. Those found were arrested, tie-wrapped, and thrown in back of the RVs for detention.

One woman who our source administered to, was raped so badly that her bloody clothes had dried and stuck within her vagina. This woman sacrificed her body to stop the rapists from doing the same to her daughter. With her permission, this woman let our guy pour warm water over the area to loosen the cloth so a topical medicine could be applied. Once this was done, our guy applied a bandage and nylons to stop the bleeding. This woman who gave a man permission to do this, watched and cried as he relieved her pain. When our guy was finished, the woman sat up and gave our guy a tender kiss on the cheek that made his heart melt.”

This was truly an unbelievable story. Unbelievable being the operative word. Andy, under the guise of Mur, posted an exhaustive list of reports from major news sources that showed how all the reports of rape at the super dome were false and a result of media myth making. If those stories were false, what does that tell us about Source A’s acts of heroism and kindness in New Orleans?

“The stories were told by residents trapped inside the Superdome and convention center and were repeated by public officials. Many news organizations carried the witness accounts and official pronouncements and in some cases later repeated the claims as fact, without attribution.

But now, a month after the chaos subsided, police are re-examining the reports and finding that many of them have little or no basis in fact.

They have no official reports of rape and no eyewitnesses to sexual assault.”

“The Los Angeles Times, the New York Times and the Washington Post followed up with similar, well-researched efforts debunking myths and coming to essentially the same conclusion we had: While anarchy indeed reigned in the city, and subhuman conditions in the Dome and the Convention Center shocked the nation’s conscience, many if not most of the alarmist reports of violence were false, or at least could not be verified. Dozens of other newspapers and television outlets joined in, offering news and opinion pieces, many doggedly questioning what they and others had earlier reported.”

In answer to the question, it tells us this story above attributed to Source A (Richard Theilmann) is yet another lie. Furthermore, it can be backed up with facts and evidence – something entirely lacking from the Pickering’s and Theilmann.

“The following was written by Richard Theilmann, an independent filmmaker whom I had the pleasure of spending time with while in Houston during the aftermath of Katrina.”

It seems Richard tells different people different stories. Let’s continue:

“I stared in horror as day after day nothing was being done to help the people trapped in New Orleans. Worse yet, being ex-military, I know that we could move out in 48 hours. Also, I still have contact with people on Active Duty and I was receiving e-mail from old buddies such as Col. Liston, USMC who said they were all standing around waiting for orders and Lt. Col. John Mayers, US Army, 82 Airborne who said that he had 1,500 paratroopers with equipment ready to drop in and restore order but nothing in the way of operational orders had come down from CentCom. [Central Command]. Life was very busy here at home as Rosemary and I were preparing for our huge Bankruptcy Sale on Friday, Sat, Sun and Monday of Sept. 2 – 5.”

Of particular importance here are the terms “ex-military” and “Bankruptcy Sale”. The former for obvious reasons, the latter because it reinforces the former! It also conclusively shows us there is no way whatsoever that Richard could be an active duty member of the military. Off world or on.

“Sundays sermon by Fr. Mead [Matthew], urging us as followers of Christ to heed the words, Feed my Sheep, take care of the Sick. I could here Matthews own frustration as he implored people to “Do Something” ! I seriously made a commitment to find out what I could do. As it turned out, so did a new acquaintance of mine. I received an urgent e-mail asking for support and to volunteer to actively assist in recording the stories of the people and the recovery effort. I jumped into action, replying in the positive and made plans to move out as soon as our sale was over on Monday. We drove down straight through the night, arriving in just 32 hours. My first day consisted of still shots of Drew conducting interviews. This was intense and the people’s stories were compelling.

Some of the stories we heard contained description of beatings and rapes. Such violence is not inevitable. “

Quite a jump from arresting rapists and tending to the raped, to recording stories and hearing about rapes, don’t you think? The rest of the article provides a great insight into the mind of Richard Theilmann, an insight totally at odds with the Source A persona and everything attributed to him.

The above excerpts are further endorsed by the “Saint Mary The Virgin” church in New York City:

“Parishioner Richard Theilmann is in Houston for a week to help with those displaced by Katrina”

Things start to look a whole lot differently when they can be backed up by facts and evidence, don’t they?

Failed Health Check

The church website was also the source of the following information pertaining to Richard’s health; Information that would further illustrate why the Source A story is a poorly written piece of fiction. (June 2008)

“Richard Theilmann is at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, New York, recovering from surgery.” (June 2008)

“Richard Theilmann also continues to heal at home following surgery.”

Why is this important? Here’s why: (January 2009)

“We can learn from the other countries such as Canada, France and England and apply what works best. My main question is why should health care ONLY be available from your Employer. Forget private coverage, TOO EXPENSIVE. I had a Mirtal Valve repair May 29, 2008 under my wife’s coverage as a dependent because I’m self employed and I have no health Ins. We separated last year but she kept me as a dependent because we knew that I needed the surgery. I’m now divorced and looking for employment since I had to give up my contracting business due to the amount of time that I was away recovering. At 55, needing health ins and a job that provides coverage, this is just WRONG that this country can’t come up with an affordable way to do this.”

Surely, an active duty officer of the United States Navy would not need to be a dependent of their ex-wife just in order to get an operation, they could have the operation as part of their military benefits? Surely, an active duty officer of the United States Navy would not class themselves as being “self-employed” or having to give up a contracting business? Surely, an active duty officer of the United States Navy would not need to look for employment that provides health insurance?

Of course not, Richard Theilmann is not an active duty officer of the United States Navy otherwise he would never have found himself in such a precarious position in the first place.

All of those people who had wondered at Source A’s mysterious absence from May 2008 through to July 2008 now have their answer. He wasn’t undergoing “modifications” in order to meet conformer reptilians, he was having a heart operation and spent the time recovering.

Working Out

We have found evidence that shows that Richard hasn’t worked for the military since at least 2001, but possibly much earlier than that. His Facebook page lists his employer as “Mac & Tel Networks”, very probably the business that went bankrupt in 2005 (see above). The Internet Web Archive has an archive of his website, ( going back to May 2001. The last entry being June 2003. Domain ownership information confirms the domain name as belonging to Richard Theilmann, and was first registered in 1995. His occupation on the MySpace website is listed as “Apple Macintosh Computer Repair”, again corroborating the work information already discovered.

Source A’s School Days

In addition to the business information, Facebook also provides us with his High School information, the school being Northport High School  ’71; information that itself is corroborated by the following document  – The Northport High School Class of 1971 email directory. This information is yet further proof that Richard could not have been in the Navy in 1968, he was still at school and would be for another three years!

Final Verification

With all of this information in hand, I decided to email Ryan’s source in order to get his view on the situation and request a telephone call. The information we already had was more than sufficient to nail this down, but this was, after all, the man who had personally met with Source A on a navy base and indirectly ended up vouching for him.  I called him up a couple of days later and had a very productive conversation. Whilst on the phone, I told him that we had discovered the name of Source A and I wondered whether Source A had identified himself by name to him. He said he had, to which I replied “Richard?” he answered by saying “Yeah Richard, Richard Theilmann”.

As has so often been the case when investigating fantastic stories with anonymous sources and cloak and dagger intrigue, as soon as a chink in the armour appears allowing you to investigate the smallest aspect of it, the whole thing comes crashing down around you. The same thing happened in the Project Serpo case and was repeated with Gordon Novel’s RAM fiasco. One glimpse is all it takes in order to dismantle the lies and deceit that are always protected under a cloak of anonymity. Stories like these are anonymous for a reason: to prevent fact checking.

We have managed to uncover all of this information in a matter of days, and not one single part of the Source A story stands up to even the slightest scrutiny.

The question now remains, who has been hoaxing who? Have the Pickering’s fabricated this entire story from beginning to end, and Richard Theilmann is simply an actor playing out a role? Or are the three of them in on this together? Is this all a huge ploy by those in the exopolitics crowd in order to drive up the believer quotient and ergo increase their revenue streams? Or has this all been a work in progress screenplay by a group of people with an overactive imagination?

Well, when one digs further into the backgrounds of these three people, a strong argument for the screenplay hypothesis starts to emerge. The Pickering describe themselves as screenwriters, but the 1995 title “How Much is Happy” is the only dramatic work found so far.

“How much is happy?

Type of Work: Dramatic work and accompanying music

Registration Number / Date: PAu002040462 / 1995-12-29

Date of Creation: 1995

Title: How much is happy?

Description: 126 p.

Copyright Claimant: Shawn P. Pickering, 1962-, John Walter, 1961-, & Clayton F. Pickering, 1961-

Notes: Screenplay.

Names: Shawn P. Pickering 1962- John Walter 1961- Clayton F. Pickering 1961-“

Interestingly enough, when one looks at Richard Theilmann’s friends on Facebook, there is an  apparent connection with screenwriting amongst a small number of them. We can’t know for sure yet what this is all about, but one thing we do know for sure:

The Source A / UN Meeting Story as told by the Pickering’s and assisted by Source A and other personalities in the exopolitics scene is a total and utter fabrication.

We tried many times to get in touch with Richard, via email, the social networking sites and on the telephone. We wanted to get his reaction to everything we have uncovered, but he was either unwilling or unable to take our calls. Despite the publication of this article, the offer of contact still stands.

Not so fast,…while this disclosure may quite well be correct and there has been some significant exaggeration and hype, Richard Theilmann may still ‘be in the know’ to some peripheral extent.

My own intuitive understanding is that it has been US Navy Intelligence that has been the lead in the alien/UFO research field from the getgo and it with them that if ever there is real disclosure that it will rest.

However I doubt there will ever be any official public disclosure from those with the appropriate security clearance to be in the loop. And also doubt there will be any unofficial disclosure of real details due to the severe repercussions that it would incur tp the source of the leak. Therefore rumor and insinuation by those who have been in the fringes is about all we can expect. Except of course for those of the public who have had some ET/UT ‘contact’ of which the US Naval Intel have an interest whereby any subsequent discussions with them may involve such minimum revelation as needed to extract the essential and salient aspects of the ‘experience’ from their perspective. And even then they may be obligated to sign something to the effect that swears them to secrecy.

So what I’ getting at is that Richard Theilmann may indeed be aware of something real, but he himself may not have ever been privy to the details to which he is being credited. IOW, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater!

Really? Thats all you have to say after two years of dragging on this farce? You don’t even wish to address any of the points concerning Source A Richard?

Why your active high ranking naval officer is actually an ex-military junior officer? Why he is self employed and didn’t have insurance coverage for his heart operation? Why when he was having his heart operation, you guys had him gone on a TDY? Why an alien ambassador has a myspace page? How one blog describes Richard has an independant filmmaker while you guys have a screenplay writing background?

You don’t want to address how you went to a normal Navy League luncheon with Richard, paid your 60 bucks and tried to turn a normal lecture into a UN, State Dept, and UFO related event?

I expected so much more than just no comment. Oh well! Sometimes silence speaks volumes.

Over 40 years on the high seas? Really?

    Dear Jeddyhi,

Your Karma points reflect how you express yourself. Clay and I find your assertions ugly. You are saying that we would involve ourselves in an endeavor which would put everyone on this forum in an awkward position. Nothing is farther from the truth. Somebody has finally dug through the “UFO dumpster” to expose yet another “intentional silly” which is the stock-in-trade of the Naval “intelligence” operators, retiree “assets” and others who play at “disclosure” while pursuing their psychosexual fantasies and play-acting at self-important “secrecy.”

When we outed Cdr. C. B. “Scott” Jones back in 1995, nobody wanted to hear of it. Ol’ Scotty never had a chance to give “hot oil massages” to what we came to call “needful and deserving New Age ladies” as he plied his lies and “inferences” he was an ‘Agency spook,’ all the while playing as a fellow traveler to Dale Graff, running a string of psychics for Dale (who was at DIA) and otherwise spoofing in the Senate while working for Senator Claiborne I. Pell (D-RI).

Scott funnelled money from Prince Hans Adam II of Liectenstein, from Laurance Rockefeller (to John Mack, Steve Greer, et al.) and variously to the Fund for UFO Research’s “Witness to Roswell” video in the early ’90s, so they could hump the “crashed saucer” scam that Stanton Friedman, Bruce Maccabee and more recently the Woods have been shystering for decades now. this from another site

“As other posters have said this isn’t funny. I’ve decided to give these practical jokers a lesson they may not ever forget. The matter has been reported to the FBI and the NCIS. Since it involves several felonies (civilian) or very serious misconduct (military – unbecoming and violation of the general order) the feds won’t find it funny either. It may mean jail or being senteced to dismissal for any and all who were involved. My best,

    Greetings NCIS,

This has been sent to the FBI but you might find it interesting. My offer for filing UCMJ charges against this joker stands, that is if he’s actually a member of the military which I doubt.
As a cross service favor I didn’t want to see you blind sided in case he really is a senior naval officer.

    Greetings Special Agents,

I’ve been following a story on the ATS website for some time and it’s now reached the point where it needs to brought to your attention. It seems a certain Richard Theilmann (source A) has been having clandestine meetings with someone out of government and passing supposedly classified disclosure information about secret UN UFO/Alien meetings.

It now appears to be a hoax but it isn’t funny. If this Richard Theilmann is a civilian then he has unlawfully worn a naval officers uniform with decorations and/or was in possession of a fake military ID card. If this is the case then he’s yours and all you need to do is investigate and arrest him on a variety of serious charges.

If he’s an actual naval officer then it still isn’t funny and he’s brought discredit upon himself and the US Navy. I’m a retired Master Sergeant from the Air Force and would be happy to bring UCMJ charges against him for conduct unbecoming along with charges of unauthorized release of classified material.

I request you open an investigation against this individual and any conspirators who may have helped him. My best “

Congratulations! Well done. The NSA/CIA/Naval Inteligence, etc. have controlled the UFO movement all along. People like Pickering and the like are all the same, ie., disinfo agents. Take a look at Salla’s credentials-Ford Foundation. And Webre’s-Stanford Research Institute. Jeff Peckman wants a new priethood drawn from an exolpolitical certification group, aka Salla and Webre. Salla and Webre are very intelligent men who are spinning the “government working with aliens” story and “imminent disclosure”. Steve Basset and the like give these people exposure. Bruce MacAbee is a “retired” Navy disinformation expert. They are operated out of the CIA by “retired” Col. Karl John Alexander. The privitaization of NASA and the takeover of MUFON is being orchestrated by Bob Bigelow and his military-industrial largesse. His “hotels in space” are a front for the reality of our wars with ET!
Even Richard Dolan has fallen for the bait. Bernard Haisch is another one like Macabee.

When Michael Salla first went public with his claims regarding a secret UN meeting and the presence of a witness, Gilles Lorant, I challenged him by bringing Dr. Vallee into the discussion and we were able to prove rather quickly that Msr. Lorant was a fraud. I posted those comments and proofs on OMForum and was vilified and removed with Mr. Salla’s encouragement and derision.

So the prime witness of the first story was debunked but Mr. Salla simply ignored that inconvenient detail and continued to promote witness A while coddling the Pickerings.

One day I was in a telephone call with Richard Dolan and told him that I thought the whole thing was nonsense and that Salla was a fraud. Richard assured me that Witness A was the real deal…. Hmmmm, I thought, how could that be possible if the original claim had no merit….?

    And now we know.

I think the scariest message here is that good researchers like Richard Dolan can be caught up in these stories that are such nonsense. At the same time there is always a new fraud being perpetrated. And we will never see Salla at a podium admitting that he was conning everyone…

Once I was in a confrontation with him because I suggested that his credibility was not good… and he, quite rudely intruded and accused me of character assassination… well, I think I’ll stand by my original observation. He is a con man bilking people for $1500plus Galactic Diplomacy Certificates and Couples Dolphin Therapy….

I wrote a letter to NARCAP EAC member Dr. Jacques Vallee
regarding the original Secret UN Meeting claim and the first
witness trotted out by the Pickerings and Mr. Salla….

The result was that Giles Lorant was proved to be a fraud. His
claims, if you are familiar with Dr. Vallee’s speech to the UN
General Assembly in 1978, seemed to echo Dr. Vallee’s

In the process of resolving this info Dr. Vallee shared a very
interesting breakdown, no doubt, based on his considerable
    long view of this situation…..

    Dear Ted:

My friends in France can find no trace of Lorant at CNRS. He
now claims he was an “auditor” at IHEDN but is now beyond
    the age limit.

You’ll notice that the story speaks of “the Secret UN Meeting”
even though it appears to have been a routine mid-level
gathering (non-secret) to prepare an administrative conference.
The manipulation is becoming obvious. My advice is to stay
    away from it.

It seems to me this story is falling apart but the structure is
very interesting — along the lines of a psywar rumor process
or what is known around the Internet as a “meme war”:

    1. You make up a really intriguing story that seems very
legitimate by including respected names: UN, French
Ambassador, DSK etc. and precise dates.

    2. You leave it full of holes so that people will come up with
questions, thus revealing who is interested and why.

    3. You imply great secrecy, thus dangling new bits of

    4. You slowly retract the story (since a lot of it was made up
in the first place out of pure imagination) but you point to
a legitimate-looking person (Lorant) who was there.

    5. The legitimate-looking person (whose credentials don’t
check out) “reveals” more details but does not confirm
the earlier story, thus gaining additional credibility and
    “dangling” new information.

    6. Legitimate journalists reinforce the apparent story by
trying to follow this new trail.

    7. You throw in new intriguing names like Ted Kennedy and
John McCain through new anonymous sources “who could be
in danger if they revealed their names…” thus seducing
more recognizable researchers into revealing their interest…

    8. You use the Internet to circulate the whole mess to an
increasing circle of people, hoping to create a mass effect.

    9. At that point, any official denial of the story (or part of it)
sounds like a cover-up or skeptical reaction, enabling you to
claim that you are the victim of disinformation, etc. etc.

    All very clever.
Feel free to circulate my analysis. I’d like to know
what other people think of this.

Not sure if I’m entering a lion’s den or snake pit but here goes. Broadbent’s article runs two things together: an ‘outing’ of a source, and exposure of an alleged hoax. I have no quibble with Broadbent’s analysis of evidence that led to the ‘outing’. I do however have big problems with the supposed exposure of a hoax. Broadbent says he spoke to Bruce Maccabee by phone for the final confirmation for the outing, but disingenuously ignores the rest of Maccabee’s knowledge of Source A. Broadbent says, “I called him up a couple of days later and had a very productive conversation.” Well, in the productive conversation didn’t Maccabee tell him about Soruce A visiting him at the Naval Warfare Center, and did so while unescorted at a secure facility? In case he needs reminding, here’s Maccabee’s testimony: . Why didn’t Broadbent mention the rest of Maccabee’s story in his exposure if indeed he was examining all the evidence? Instead, Broadbent deliberately ignored that part of Maccabee’s testimony that was contrary to his intended ‘exposure’, and claimed that he found no evidence that Source A had worked for the military since at least 2001. Basically, Maccabee’s testimony is proof that Source A was at the time (April 2008) at least serving in some capacity with the US Navy with high security clearances.

So if Broadbent ignores all that in his alleged investigation proving Source A a fraud, what does that make Broadbent? Disingenuous at best, but I think others might argue I’m being very kind here for someone who conveniently ignores the testimony of a primary witness admissible in a court of law in putting together a comprehensive exposure of a hoax. I raised this inconsistency in Broadbent’s investigatory method with Jeddhyi/John at OMF and all he had to say was that more investigation was needed. Really, please explain how an ex-military man who hasn’t served since 2001 gain access to and walk around unescorted around the Naval Warfare Center and enter a highly classified laboratory? I think all the backslapping on this article is very premature given the important omissions in the alleged investigation of Source A.

Micheal Salla how dare you try to pin Bruce Macabee as the grunt of blame for this whole affair. Bruce had literally nothing to do with it, besides a meeting in a lab one day. Stop trying to avoid your own personal liability and damage to this field you yourself have caused. Bruce Maccabee has put more time and done more decent work in this field than Mr. Salla can even dream about with his Exopolotic Crap.

You Micheal are as guilty as anybody for your continued promotion of this U.N. meeting.

Micheal Salla do not dare to try and place blame on Bruce Maccabee, who has spent decades of his life in this field working many hours to analyze photographs and do research. Mr. Salla you are not in the same league of credibility of Dr. Macabee

The only snake oil salesmen here are those trying to support an exposure that has some serious deficiencies and ignores key evidence given to the researcher – S.B. If Source A is ex-military and hasn’t served since at least 2001, then please explain how he entered a secure Naval laboratory back in April 2008? In Dr Maccabee’s own words: “In a Navy Laboratory in order to get in you had to have credentials, you had to have clearances, a badge that would allow you to come in, and even if you get in, you might need an escort, if you didn’t have a sufficiently high clearance.” I’m one of those that saw Source A’s badge and it was current back in 2008. So he did have the credentials and clearances he claimed!

Saying I’m trying to pin the blame on Bruce Maccabee is ridiculous and shows how vacuous the blackslapping here is for an exposure which has serious deficiencies. It’s disingenuous to respond to the Maccabee laboratory incident to say more investigation is under way. If more investigation is underway, then how come the conclusions by Broadbent are conclusive that Source A is a hoax? Bruce Maccabee is a primary witness of someone wearing full dress Navy uniform, walking through various layers of security, showing ID, unescorted in classified laboratory, etc., all done to discuss with him the UFO discussions at the UN. At the very least, this is evidence that Source A was part of a covert operation sanctioned at some level since he could not have done that on his own. If Broadbent was conducting a genuine investigation he would have at least mentioned this inconsistency with his final hoax conclusion, but for not mentioning it at all, he should be faulted as being disengenuous at best. I think he is simply being intellectually dishonest.

Finally, for the record I have never accepted all of Source A’s testimony as 100% accurate, but have confirmed enough of it to conclude that he is part of a covert operation sanctioned by more senior Navy officers.

If ya want to talk about vacuous, one can literally see the words of Michael Salla drift off the screen and float into the air leaving only a faintly nauseous scent.

In his entirely disingenuous post above, he addresses not one of the damaging details we now have about Source A.

Salla brings up Maccabee as though his name carries some weight. How can we can forget Maccabee’s idiotic endorsement of the Ed Walters fraud?

The entire disclosure movement is laughable. The people involved are clowns. And I hope they all get exactly what they deserve.

I said I keep getting the run around because that’s what’s happening. My simple request for an accounting of Broadbent’s ommission of Maccabee’s testimony for his alleged exposure of Source A being a hoax is ignored, vilified, etc. I’m subjected to ad hom attacks, etc.

Some here are pretty fixed that Source A is a hoax and that I and others are guilty as charged for disseminating his testimony. Others, while still highly skeptical, do have some critical reasoning abilities, e.g., Jeddhyi/John. My question to them is: why are you silent and ignore the implications of Maccabee’s testimony which is admissible in a court of law? Why did Broadbent ignore this aspect of Maccabee’s testimony after having a long conversation with him to out Source A?

If a hoax is what is occurring, that would at the least invite a Congressional investigation of lax security procedures at the Naval Warfare Center that allowed an alleged ‘hoaxer’ to walk around unescorted in the post 911 error.

    Dr. Salla,

I am one of the researchers that broke this story.

Regardless of the individual that identified Source A for us, of what importance is the identity of that individual?

It is quite marginal given all else that has transpired, and especially in light of the fact that you have not denied that this is the identity of Source A. There is no legal requirement for chains of evidence in an independent investigation of facts, and we have complied with the highest standards of journalistic integrity and ethical conduct in the process of our research.

We released our information knowing it to be as vetted as possible, our information verified, and our sources reliable.

Your assertions of the security level required at Dahlgren are unsupported by the Dahlgren PAO. Please provide evidence to support your assertions that Theilmann would have required any access higher than he already possessed to be where he was.

But refer to item 9 in Post 46…… Dr. Vallees breakdown of psy-memes on the internet

That will be Salla’s avenue of refuge but nobody who has seen his promotion of this event as well as his various other claims and abuse of other people’s research will be fooled. He will continue to bilk people out of money with his $1500Galactic Diplomacy Certificates and his Couples Dolphin Therapy while playing to the gullible…but this was his situation, his promotion and he needs to wear his failure…. Hi, Vince…

    Thank you for your message.

I would point out that despite the ridicule and general “Animal House” attitude of the pranksters who put this out, nothing that they have published proves that the UN UFO Meeting and the initiatives that followed did not occur.

Despite the ridicule that has been heaped upon the Brothers and “Source A” (using a Halloween party photo… to disparage the source), all they’ve done is confirm the veracity “Source A’s” rank and bona fides as a real USN Commander (as they DO confirm his membership in the NY Chapter of the US Naval Commandery, which is open only to current and former naval officers).

I see this prank as a “hit job” for the forces of Non-Disclosure and an example of “sour grapes” from vindictive bunch of malcontents who were miffed that the Pickerings would not reveal the name of the source to them or allow them into an inner circle of trusted confidants. There recent behavior only proves how unreliable they were and how right the Pickerings were “to include them out.”

I am meeting with the principal parties tonight and I’ll have more comments on this in days to come.

Send me your list of Qs & As and I will present them to Source A personally.

    Michael Salla,

You are not guilty as charged for disseminating his testimony – you are guity as charged for not properly questioning it before jumping on the bullhorn and touting it as disclosure. From what I hear, this is your modus operandi. I recall our researcher Shawnna contacting you a few years ago about Serpo, and you pulled the same stunt back then. It’s as though, for some reason, you can’t seem to see the forest for trees – and you wonder why people are starting to suspect whether you are complicit.

“why are you silent and ignore the implications of Maccabee’s testimony which is admissible in a court of law? Why did Broadbent ignore this aspect of Maccabee’s testimony after having a long conversation with him to out Source A?”

I can personally assure you that Maccabee’s testimony is not being ignored. Quite the opposite. You may want to sit down and wait for the impending update, which will be published within hours, where we will lay it all out for you in careful detail. With the hope that, maybe this once, you will open your eyes and see the forest. For, if you don’t, you can’t blame the rational and logical minds here to suspect you as part of the entire conspiracy and hoax.

“If a hoax is what is occurring, that would at the least invite a Congressional investigation of lax security procedures at the Naval Warfare Center that allowed an alleged ‘hoaxer’ to walk around unescorted in the post 911 error.”

Well now – look at that…you’re finally starting to ask the right questions. Why don’t you ponder that question while we work on finishing up this update? Do you even know what the security procedures at the facility are? I suspect not.

    Shut up and stay tuned.

I would like to offer my congratulations to the excellent research done here. Perhaps I can clarify my own “knowledge” about this case, such as it was.

Ted Roe is right that I did defend the legitimacy of Mr. Theilmann over the phone. I had met him in person at the 08 X-Conference. We talked privately for a short while, and he gave a good presentation of himself. Following that, I attempted to obtain follow up information from Mr. Theilmann in order to get him to be more specific about his claims. He never did so, not to my satisfaction.

Ted might have a better memory than I do on this, but I am fairly sure that when we had our phone conversation, it was before the surgery event. It was that whole thing, and the non-believable nature of it as described to me, that forced me to tell the Pickerings I was not interested in spending any more time looking into this case. After that, I decided just to let it go.

At no time did I ever publicly endorse this case. Other than my phone conversation with Ted, I don’t think I gave support of the case to any other researcher. Although I will admit that privately I did think for a while that a meeting of some sort did take place at the U.N. Yep. Never pretended I knew it was true, but I did think it seemed that it happened. Now I think we all know better.

It just shows for the umpteenth time that talk is cheap. The researchers who uncovered this case deserve everyone’s thanks and appreciation. So, from myself, a deep and heartfelt THANK YOU.

    Dear Reality Uncovered–
No doubt about it, the preponderance of the evidence you guys uncovered in your fantastic sleuthing indicates the Pickerings and Theilmann have perpetrated a hoax on the UFO community. At the same time there are a few loose ends I wonder about.

First is Bruce Maccabee’s account (see link on comment #32) on how Theilmann appeared at Bruce’s top secret place of work, which required a current ID of a particular kind. Bruce said Theilmann had credibility with him because he seemed to have no trouble gaining admittance to the top secret facility, and Bruce noted when Theilmann appeared in his office he didn’t even have an escort.

Second also concerns Bruce Maccabee, specifically his immediate confirmation of Theilmann’s name. The way the Pickerings had told it, there were a “select” group of UFO researchers who met Source A. I presume a condition of meeting A was his identity be kept secret, yet Bruce, according to you folks at RU, confirmed Theilmann’s name immediately and without hesitation when you called Bruce. In fact, in your quote Bruce actually volunteered the name. I don’t get that.

Third thing I don’t get is the porno pix on Theilmann’s Facebook page. You’ve got several other pictures of him in your article above, in one he’s in a tuxedo, in another he’s with his then wife, in another he’s covered with medals, and these pictures were taken in what looks like elegant gathering with lots of people who look wealthy. So from those pictures it looks like Theilmann is trying to keep up social pretenses–and this same guy puts a pornographic picture of himself on his Facebook page? What? I’m really lost here. Can somebody help?

Finally, about Open Minds Forum. There’s a comment in your article wondering if OM was “in on” the hoax. I have no idea, but I am reminded that James Carrion, the former director of MUFON, was all up in arms about the Open Minds Forum because, he claimed, he could not find out the names of the people who “own,” or whatever word, Open Minds. James said he made strenuous efforts to find out their names, but was never able to. As a result he warned people away from OM, and hinted it was an intelligence operation.

So those are some of my current questions about the whole matter of Source A, etc.

the link provided by Access Denie does indeed explain about the access to the base

” The fact that the base has a standard facility access highlights how one does not need any classified security clearances in order to access the base. RU admin Access Denied showed how a retired naval officer, for example, may want to access the base in order to use the Commissary (grocery store) or the Exchange (general store) facilities available to all retired members of the US Navy. Dahlgren has both of these stores on site”

As a retired Navy person, he would have had no trouble at all entering the facility, he did not need “high level clearance”
In addition having an appointment with Dr Maccabee would also have meant easy access
According to this document, you don’t need an escort, you only need to have an appointment with someone on base:

That two different ways he could have gained entry to the base without a high level clearance

Those that want this hoax to be true, are overplaying this facet of the story

    Great job with the investigation.

Have you looked closely at the medals he’s wearing? They’re blurry even at 1000x but they appear to be:

Navy & Marine Corps Medal (same as John F. Kennedy received in WWII re PT-109)
    Bronze Star
    Purple Heart
    ? – too blurry

    Meritorious Service Medal
    Air Medal? (blurry)
    Navy Commendation Medal Joint Service
    Navy Acheivement Medal Joint Service
    Navy Commendation Medal

    National Defense Medal
    Vietnam Service Medal
Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal (Officer)
    United Nations Medal? (blurry)
    Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal

Very impressive, especially the top row! Two medals for heroism and wounded in action. He’s highly decorated. Then there’s the Vietnam service related medals in the bottom row, including one reserved for officers. I do hope that Richard Thielmann isn’t one of those people who hoax their entire life history and that he is a bonified Vietnam Vet hero. But your investigation does appear to cast some serious doubts on his having been an officer. “Some college” doesn’t cut it for being commissioned as a US Navy officer. If he is wearing a Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal (Officer) that’s a problem. He graduated from high school in June of 1971. If his bio had said “college grad” instead of “some college” his earliest graduation date from college and commissioning as an ENS (assuming he was a Navy ROTC or Naval Academy grad) would have been June of 1975. The last guy out of Vietnam shut off the lights at the US Embassy in Saigon on 30-APR-1975. There’s no way he would have been deployed to Vietnam. For us the war was over.

He may actually be a Vietnam Vet, but not as an officer if his bio is correct (and it does appear to be correct).

John (JeddyHi) has done some analysis on the medals and Tim (Printy) is also looking into it. When I first saw this comment, I thought it was Tim – “Some college” doesn’t cut it is exactly what he wrote!

Here are the medals as identified by John:

    Top Row
    1)Navy/Marine Corps Medal
    2)Bronze Star
    3)Purple Heart
    4)Defense Meritorious Medal

    Second Row
    1)Meritorious Service Medal
    2)Air Medal
    3)Joint Service Commendation Medal
    4)Joint Service Achievement Medal
    5)Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal

    Third Row
    1)National Defense Service Medal
    2)Vietnam Service Medal
    3)Vietnam Gallantry Cross
    4)UN Medal
    5)Vietnam Campaign Medal

I’d say that’s pretty damn close, which is very good to see!

The Vietnam medals in particular are beginning to look more and more suspect as time goes on.

    Once again, great post.

    Excellent details DarbyII, Thank You.

Personally i think establishing whether or not hes a genuine service member or a case of Stolen Valor is the most crucial next step in this case.
To my mind it is the most important question that needs answering

Does anyone know how we would go about checking this aspect of the matter, if it is a case of Stolen Valor, the rest of the story goes down the toilet

    Mike & Stephen,

You’re welcome and thank you for the comments. It’s good to see that my tired old eyes and 1000x mag on the screen came close to identifying the ribbons on the medals. And yes, I do remember AlphaOmega on TTI.

I believe that the investigation is on track. The guy could well be a Vietnam Vet or Vietnam Era Vet. But not a lifer and not an officer. His campaign medals stop with Vietnam. No other campaign medals, which he would have had he been in service for all those post-VN decades. I really do hope that he hasn’t involved himself in Stolen Valor. An Internet hoax on an alt-sci site makes for interesting investigative opportunities but for the most part no one gets hurt. But faking a military career of heroism is not a simple hoax. It’s a felony and demeans the real heroes. The Navy & Marine Corps Medal is second in precidence among all non-combat heroism medals. The Navy does not hand them out “just because”. The Salior or Marine would receive a Silver Star, Navy Cross or CMH for the same heroic action had it involved combat.

” You’ve got several other pictures of him in your article above, in one he’s in a tuxedo, in another he’s with his then wife, in another he’s covered with medals, and these pictures were taken in what looks like elegant gathering with lots of people who look wealthy. So from those pictures it looks like Theilmann is trying to keep up social pretenses”

For better or worse, whatever this guy really is it isn’t a negative that he’s wearing a tux and medals. It appears to be a Navy League dinners and the requirement for everyone is that they wear a tux at their dinners. Old school formalism? Sure. But it isn’t an attempt to put on social pretenses. If they were still in service they would be wearing their military tuxedo Dinner Dress Blues (or Whites) with medals rather than the rectangular ribbons. It’s keeping the spirit of the military tradition.

I ned to make a correction. John correctly identified the VN Gallantry Cross that I misdentified as a RVN Armed Forces Honor Medal (Officer). I went back to the photo, used The Gimp to bring out some more detail and the middle field of the ribbon is solid orange and not striped orange. The VN Gallantry Cross has the solid orange middle field.

First of all, Bruce Macabbee is not a credible source. This is a guy whosaid the Stephenville lights were “stars”. Good catch, that this story came out after the Stephenville lights and Angalina Joiner’s fine work. They were not “stars”. Bruce is a hoaxster, so Michael Salla’s attempt to save himself by pinning his connections to Bruce MacAbee are disingenuous at best. It is much more likely that Michael Salla and Bruce MacAbee work for the same “team”, as does Webre, Scott Jones and Webre, among many others.

Yes, Richard is an excellent historiographer. However, he is being “controlled” by the likes of Salla, Webre and Alexander. Richard, please be wary! They are trying to control you as they have attempted to control Dr. Edgar Mitchell and Jesse marcel, Jr. . Beware of those saying that ET’s “potentially pose a grave threat”. Please understand that Bruce Macabee is being replaced by a scientiest’s of Mitchell’s, ie., Bernard Haisch. You are surrounded by vipers. Do not allow your “quaint” ideas of patriotism and national soverignty be fed by paranoia spread by NSA, CIA, DOD spooks. You do not need them, Richard. They will destroy your credibility!

It is quite possible that this vetting of source A is part of a much larger “program” to control; the disclosure movement. By making Disclosure advocates liook crazy, they spin the story, and then rtetract it. Perhaps the whole story has been spun and unspun to distract from the recent work of Dr. Edgar Mitchell asking President Barack O’Bama to release the secret UFO files. It would not be surprising for John Alexander to go on Veritas Radio soon to say what should be obvious to most now:That disclosure is not going to occur because of people like Source A, Stephen Greer/Orion Project, or Gordon Novell/Hal Putoff “Alpha Centuri” project. Dr. Alexander spins the yarn with Webre and Salla, and Source A, and then discredits Mitchell and the Disclosure Movement, yet again.

Yes, The as Dick Farley states:More psyops, like Lawrence Rockefeller’s “Disclosure Project”. Please understand that Stephen greer was used by these people, and while he is far from honest about being used by Lawrence Rockefeller, Edward Teller, John Alexander, Bob Bigelow, etc., he is right:ET poses no threat. Please understand this simple but basic truth (Richard Dolen). As Dick Farley knows, Scott Jones, Bruce Macabee and John Alexander are part of the Aviary to confound the Disclosure Movement. NIDS and Bigelow are deeply involved, as is George Knapp. However, as Dick Farley knows:Roswell were crashedd UFO’s and “the pilots were not from earth” (General Harry Cordes). That makes even Mr. Farley an agent de proveceteur and psyop agent in my book. And Mr. Morningstar, stop with the disinformation.

I have just listened to Andrew Murray live on the Kevin Smith Show. It is obvious to me that there are a number of possible logical fallacies in the analysis of the data found by the investigative team. It was certainly a mistake to go public and was done prematurely.

If this is not the case, and the allegations made by the research team turned out to be true (which would have happened in time if left alone), then what was gained by the exposure at this time?

If, on the other hand, the analysis and conclusions are indeed faulty, then what are the consequences of this premature release of information (not knowledge — data set in a context of the team’s analysis)?

I believe your action fails the test of altruistic motivation in the decision to publish the findings (and by Andrew’s own words, 4 out of 5 members of the team felt it was premature), and is therefore highly suspect.

I’m cross posting this from OMF:

    Caryn wrote:

“I understand your frustration Dan..and yes it is tedious but we have a playing card house senario here…The house is resting on Theilmann’s credibility. If and I am saying IF it is discovered that Theilmann has fabricated his history/credentials etc the house comes crashing down…if it is established that he has been telling the truth about his own military history credentials etc, it will lend significance to the larger story….others participating here fully comprehend what is to be lost and what is to be gained from ascertaining the facts and evidence in either case.”

I would actually expect the exact opposite. if Theilmann’s credentials check out, then the possibility of a hoax increases, IMHO. On the other hand, if he is a “dangle” being offered to the UFO community (for whatever purpose) then I would expect he would be acting in the role of ‘cut-out’ — and his ‘official’ credentials would be valid only to the extent the cut-out service was willing to absorb the embarrassing fall out of his ‘outing’ on the Internet.

    Dear Darby II–
Re your comment #92 above, apparently I’ve not made myself clear. In my original comment #83, I was not objecting to Theilmann wearing a tux at the fancy parties he’s pictured at; I’m saying how could a guy who travels in those social circles have a porno pix publicly posted on his Facebook page? In the same vein, Broadbent, in recent interview with Don Ecker, mentioned Theilmann’s “church.” Same question: how could a guy who’s a church member publicly post porno?

Please understand me. I’m not questioning the RU expose either. I’m saying, Here’s a guy who’s a member of the Navy League and a member of a church who posts porno–specifically it seems to me he would have been ostracized from those social circles for that.

This is really bothering me cause apparently he is in the Navy League, is a church member and does post porno. Is there anyone who can explain this?
