Im not sure how one can "invade" a public venue like a bar, maybe they just want to sample the disco fries.
Having said that i wouldnt do it.
RickyT, has stated they have been painted into a corner, and a cornered critter can be unpredictable and dangerous.

And what of Murnut's uber-macho threat to invade the Pickerboyz' bar in New York next week with a pissy Amkon girlfriend in tow? This sort of moralistic indignation is wasted on such a patently ridiculous Horta teapot tempest, dear Caryn. But it certainly is fun! Love you...

Those invasions of privacy would certainly not be welcomed by them. They would not like having their kids stopped and questioned or their family and friends harassed by 'UFO-NUT-JOBS' trying to prove an enigma wrapped in more than 20 layers of above top secret.”

So, what exactly is mdonnall saying here?...stop releasing the facts or we will intimidate your families? Question the team’s children? Just so you know mdonnall, I take threats of that nature very seriously and this has been copied and will be reported to the relevant bodies already involved with this case.

The family members of Theilmann who the team are currently in talks with contacted the team under their own volition. No one has been hunted down – no ‘kids stopped and questioned’ what a nasty mind mdonnall has!

Mdonnall seems to be forgetting the fact that it was Theilmann who made the claims –Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. ... The team looked for verification of those claims and discovered the man is a fraud. I guess we could have just sat on the information and chuckled to ourselves as the saga continues to unfold for the next god knows how many months/years. Or we could take the decision to make the information public in an attempt to warn others that they are being conned. Would folk honestly prefer the former to the latter? Sorry, but I honestly can’t comprehend that preference. I have to believe that the bulk of interested parties DO want to hear the truth – the minority who don’t can switch channels of course – you don’t have to watch! Perhaps rather than shooting the messengers you should be reflecting on the reasons/emotions behind why your anger is being misdirected.

OK, Caryn. For all you researchers who've considered me to be nothing more than some sort of armchair analyst I have an important discovery to reveal. Below is a transcript of an NSA wiretap that was sent me in response to a FOIA request which establishes beyond doubt that Theilmann did indeed meet with Macabbee in his secret office two years ago:

(on intercom...)
Desk clerk: "Dr. Macabbee, there's a gentleman here to see you."
BruMac: "Thank you, dear. Is he wearing a lock box on his testicles?"
Desk Clerk: "Yes, sir."
BruMac: "OK. Send him in and get Ryan Dube on the line."

Jer,

Hi: If you go back to the second release and scan through the comments you’ll see the below emails from Maccabee….In summary, Theilmann did not need high level security clearance to enter the base or to visit Macaabee…….Maccabee did not ask to see Theilmann’s credentials because he had taken the word of the Pickerings that Theilmann was in possession of such credentials.

It’s been pointed out to us that someone on the OM forum is arguing the case that bar codes can not be faked….that person is jumping the gun…no one yet has proved that Theilmann held a military ID card genuine or fake - he may have just had a CAC to enter the base.

Maccabbe replied:

“What I said has been interpreted as meaning that “A” had a high level clearance. However, I was explicit that I did nothing that I can recall, and this includes filing a visitor request with the reception (i.e., I don’t require filing a request) that would aid his entry.

So far as I know, when he approached the main guard gate he showed them a badge of “common access card” that let him on the base. The base has civilians entering all the time. All one needs
is a proper badge. An unclassified meeting needs no proof of clearance level. “A” got himself onto and off the base on his own steam, so far as I can recall.

I do not recall him wearing a “V” badge. He would have gotten such a badge only as a result of a request from me filed at the reception desk. I don’t recall filing such a request. I didn’t have many visitors for unclassified meetings over the many years of working at the lab, so I don’t recall exactly what would have been needed to get on the base.

I should point out that I assumed he had clearance at some level (S or TS) based on what I had been told by the Pickering brothers. (They had asked me if I would meet with “A”).

The fact that he got onto the base on his own steam does not mean that he had any particular clearance level. He did not need any special access to get to my office. (Anyone who was on the base during “office hours” could have walked into my office which was NOT in a secure portion of the building.)
Hope this answers your question.”

To reiterate:
“A” had to have a badge of some sort to get into the lab without my help. This does not mean “special clearance ” or “special access” as would be required to get into a restricted area or to attend a classified meeting. (My meeting with him was “unclassified”.)
At NSWC anyone with a “common access card” (CAC) or some other type of Navy badge could get onto the base.
I assumed he had a high level of clearance based on what I was told by the Pickerings. When “A” told me that he could get onto the base without my help I assumed it was because he had a high level Navy clearance. However, the main response to your question is not what I assumed, but rather that fact that no special clearance level (such as Confidential, Secret or Top Secret) was required to simply get onto the base. But he had to have some sort of badge that the guards would recognize as giving him permission to enter the base. (A person does not just drive by the guards and wave one’s hand…. You need an employee badge or some other type of Navy badge or a “CAC”.)
Once on the base a person could drive to any building. To enter some buildings required “special access”. However, anyone on the base could enter the area of the building that I was in. I merely gave him instructions on where to drive, where to park, which entrance to take to enter
the building I was in and how to get to the room I was in.”
