Scientific Evidence? (Surviving Death)

Postby Zep Tepi » Thu May 25, 2006 12:37 am

Hi everyone, I thought I would get the ball rolling in this forum by presenting Michael Roll's thoughts on "The Scientic Proof of Survival after Death", from the Campaign for Pholisophical Freedom website.

The following extract is taken from here.

Censored in Great Britain

By Michael Roll

Here is an extraordinary paradox. Only those who can be relied upon to dismiss the findings and conclusions of our pioneers of radio and television are allowed on radio and television!

Our scientists who support the British pioneers of radio and television - Sir William Crookes, Sir Oliver Lodge and John Logie Baird - have been blocked from speaking on the radio or appearing on television. Only a handful of local radio presenters have defied this official and unofficial censorship, notably James Whale.

There are two expert opinions as to what so-called paranormal phenomena are, but in this "free" country the British people are only allowed access to the explanation that is politically correct, the first version that is listed below, because it is no danger to the powerful religious and scientific establishments:

1. Paranormal Phenomena Do Not Exist
The mind and the brain are the same. This is the official teaching across all scientific disciplines. The parapsychologist Dr. Susan Blackmore has been given complete freedom of every radio and television programme that is meant to be examining the subject. This is because she is the establishment mouthpiece and can be relied upon to never mention what is revealed in this pamphlet. Dr. Blackmore protects the scientific establishment's adopted stance, which only gives a materialistic model of the universe. Professor J. Wheeler, a top physicist, stated in 1994 that acceptance of survival or paranormal phenomena would destroy the basis of science as taught in our universities.

2. Paranormal Phenomena Do Exist
The mind and the brain are separate. This pamphlet carries on where Crookes, Lodge and Logie Baird left off. This is what we are never allowed to hear on radio and television or read about in scientific magazines and large circulation papers.

"The suppression of uncomfortable ideas may be common in religion and politics, but it is not the path to knowledge, it has no place in the endeavour of science."

Carl Sagan. "Cosmos" 1980

A great moment in television history was featured in Carl Sagan's outstanding thirteen-part series on astronomy called "Cosmos". He was pictured in New York library surrounded by millions of books. He pointed to a tiny section and said:

"It is only possible in one person's lifetime to read this many books."
He then turned to the camera and made the following profound statement:

"The trick is to read the right books."
The books discussed in this pamphlet are the ones that the religious and pseudo-scientific establishments are praying with all their might that the people never find out about.

"I completely agree with Michael Roll's arguments about the reality of paranormal phenomena and the existence of a normally unseen world... Quantum Physics: the presence of a wave nature in subatomic particles. The vital difference between a wave and a solid particle is the wave properties of superposition and modulation. Put simply, these properties allow waves of different frequencies to occupy the same space without direct interaction. Therefore it is quite possible for parallel universes to exist separated by a difference in some fundamental wave characteristic. This theory springs directly from wave mechanics which unfortunately was not available to the Victorian researchers when the greatest breakthroughs with mediumship were made."

Michael Scott BSc. Graduate in Astrophysics, Edinburgh University

The paper continues at the above link.

What are everyone else's thoughts on this subject?

my own feeling is that it's impossible to die- even though we may want to.

I'm about to look into the website Zep. I won't go into which side I lean towards but I figure it's best to explore this one directly - by which I don't mean death or suicide though.

When forgotten, well....Won't know till we get there, and I'm in no hurry :D

Although, if forgotten, then remembered at a later date.....does that = Ghost

I made it a point not to post too much about what I research because sometimes a view may sway my work unknowingly. I used to be big into evp/itc work. Electronic Voice Phenomena or Instrumental Transcommunication (for you euros) is the recording of the dead be it through audio, video or in some cases written (on computer). I was a part of a 2 year test with a group who were able to make and record these things. After my time I was convinced of authenticity from the group. I myself had a tremendous problem with relaxation and meditation which appears to be needed for forming connections.

Another leg of this research is the SCOLE project. This group created an atmosphere where communication was documented, recorded and proven by some incredible scientists. The basics for those unfamiliar, is this group conducted a group of seance type sessions. Once a connection was established, some very strict protocols were followed that were agreed upon by the group earlier. The results were astounding to say the least. I was leary about the whole thing until they were able to REPRODUCE results in controlled enviroments under the watchful eye of the scientists. Also without going too deep, the invite was issued to many universities and the group was not aware who was coming or to which session. All and all it is most interesting.

This is the group I was affiliated with.
This is a paper on the Scole project. It has more detail. ... 1&pgtype=1

Included in this resource are links to Stevenson's work documenting
the biological evidence for reincarnation. (Birthmark cases of children
who remember fatal wounds of previous life.)

I also, have been into EVP/ITC, Shadow Watcher.....
Read the George Meeks book, After We Die, What Then?
Great stuff, some of it a little kooky, but I always try to keep an open mind.

What needs to happen is to turn psuedoscience into science. We need to bridge the gap between normal and paranormal.

The worst part about all of this, is religious propaganda.
I live in Oklahoma, USA. Tattoos will offcially be legalized in Nov, we still have 3.2 beer, we just go the Lottery and Higher Casino Gaming...and all pornography is edited for cable.....

Anyway, this is caused by Baptist influence and propaganda. Which in my opinion takes away free will.

Spiritualism is an all emcompassing way of viewing the afterlife, however, it may not be for everyone. All they ITC people request is an open mind....

Anyway enough of my first post and hopefully last rant.

Due to some strange circumstances, I am being directed back into the field of evp/itc. I am taking some precautions this time. This research is tremendous stuff. I am pleased to say that I no longer try to convince anyone about the evidence. I am totally happy being selfish knowing there is proof. I worked with Mark Macy and his group, I have heard the tapes, I am convinced.

Drew, have you read Mark's book MIRACLES IN THE STORM? It is a great primer for the field. I too have read George Meeks work, his wife Jeannette was recorded after she passed away. I strongly recommend Friedrich Jurgenson's free ebook as well. His journal blew me away. I have a copy of his life work on tape. I searched for a LONG time due it being so rare.

I am in the midst of contacting my old research group for a new study. I am confident that we can get some serious work done. My biggest obstacle was relaxing. My inner chatter is incessent and prevents much of my progress.

I have not read Mark Macy's book, but I will if recommended. I have so many unanswered questions and such.
I basically found George Meeks through reading Mark Macy's website....but I guess I decided to start reading earlier material and move on to Newer to see how much has evolved....
Any information would be helpful.

On Mark's site, if you look to the left border, there is a list of data. Under RESEARCHERS, there is a huge list of names with their histories. Mark's book kind of details his interactions with those listed on his site.

Sarah Estep has her own site and it is a treasure of info. The scary thing is that these researchers are all in their 70's or so, when they pass, that info could be lost if we don't run with it. I would love to make some connections before they die, and work out some plans for after they die.

my opinion on "scientific evidence of reincarnation" reads as an oxymoron. i mean this in a humorous way. in some cases scientific evidence can be the enemy to a degree. the fact that lots of things our community experiences if not all, can be explained scientifically...with evidence possibly. on a seperate note the post regarding reincarnation with birth marks as evidence is a curious one. my nephew has almost identical facial features as me almost down to the micron. i am talking freckles and spots, other than that theres no resemblance as he is lighter in colour.

was i meant 2 b?
