Posting Issues

Postby Zep Tepi » Tue Jun 06, 2006 12:28 am

For anyone experiencing posting difficulties, the following is a suggested fix:

step 1. log out
step 2. clear your browser cookie
step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
step 4. close your browser
step 5. go back and test

Cheers,
Zep

for some reason i feel i'm alone here. can it be the case?

in a sense our president is correct: there are jobs that americans won't do. on the other hand, the ebens will do these jobs if only the guest worker program is approved. please people- write your congressmen. include a copy to dr. rosin.

i'm truly sorry that i was going to hang myself this weekend.

i've changed my mind on this. i will hold off for 2 weeks in order to review and analyze the results of your endeavors.

zep tepi understands this.

please direct all future inquiries concerning this matter to zeptepi.

thank you for your forbearance in this matter.

best regards,

Yes that's right, sorry about the speed issues - They should be resolved shortly. (As soon as they've rebooted the damn server)

Cheers,

When I try to pull up the RU site, I am frequently get the error message "server not found".

When it does let me on, I have been logged out every time.

When I try to log in, sometimes it doesn't let me log in.

When I do get logged in, it doesn't let me search for "posts since last visit".

Bleh.

Some browser issue, perhaps? My Firefox won't let me log in; I fill out name & password and hit submit (or whatever), and get the same log-in box back. No such trouble with IE, though.

I've never (yet) had the "server not found" message, though.

Switch browsers, clear caches, and whatever else people always tell you to do. Sorry, that's all the help I can offer.

the new firefox seems to have new security in it . do you see a small "s" in the lower right hand corner of your screen? try clicking it and then allow this site that may help

Yeah, me too.

Just for the record, I couldn't access RU for most of last week. :(

The "server not found" message can last for days-at-a-time, then suddenly grant me access again for no apparent reason.

No other site has been causing me the same (frequent) trouble.

Double bleh, :(
