Thanks, Mike. :)

That was some interesting footage. I'd be interested to learn what forensic video analysis might tell us about the nature of the lights and their motions...?

The video seems to demonstrate that there were plenty of witnesses (at this one location, anyhow...), and I see a least one other video camera that seems to be recording the event (whatever it was).

If I followed the descriptions and video acccurately, I find it reminiscent of other videos where odd formations of lights seem to hover over a fixed location while "chase" lights positively approach the others, weave in and out, and then depart. Or take up separate "hovers"...

For example, Greifswald, East Germany (1990?) comes to mind:

This part of the event:

"Three had formed a triangular shape and one was to the right. Then another one came hurtling towards the rest at what looked like a very fast speed. But as it neared them it suddenly slowed and stopped altogether."

...appears to indicate a form of intelligence (regardless of whether terrestrial or not). A balloon hurtling toward the group of 3 and then coming to a stop as it neared them? Please...the balloon explanation is truly grasping at straws on this one. The flight behavior indicates rapid flight, rapid decceleration, and standstill hovering (antigravity) capability. There are plenty of witnesses, and plenty of photos of the event. This is gold dust. I love reports like this.

Unfortunately this has now been well exposed as Chinese lanterns

Heres a Youtube Vidoe of the event, where you will see that there is nothing 'hurtling towards' the others.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UHCxfudCSs

What is being seen is 4 Lanterns released first and attaining some height, then the last one is released later and due to its lower height seems to 'hurtle towards' the others but on checking the video you will see that it does not 'hurtle' anywhere. It and the others are pretty standard Lantern phenomena. Even the 'triangle shape' was only momentary as the lanterns moved around.

But the real crunch came several days later when it was revealed that the parents of the bride at a wedding celebration held at Ingon Manor Golf club (Viv and Jim James from Tamora Close, Heathcote) had released some Chinese Lanterns at around 10 PM (the sighting and Videos were made at around 10-30PM). If you check out Ingon Manor Golf Club and Stratford on Avon the prevailing winds that night would indeed have carried them over Stratford, or near enough to be easily seen there.

Also check out my posting on Chinese Lanterns. Ive paid particular attention to these over the last 40 odd years.

Awesome - thanks for the follow-up Chorlton. Looks like yet another one bites the dust. Isn't the human imagination an amazing thing?

I like to see that recreated sounds simple enough I could do it but I have no idea what a chinese lantern is.
