I just started this book over the weekend, and it is proving to be a VERY good read.

Systems Thinking: Managing Chaos and Complexity: A Platform for Designing Business Architecture

It goes well beyond the (typical) treatise of systems as in technology systems, into group-focused systems and even introduces a concept called "social calculus".
