Great movie. Coincidentally last weekend we were given complimentary tickets to stay the night on board the Queen Mary in Long Beach (didn't see any ghosts unfortunately) and they have a Russian Scorpion attack sub next to it that you can “walk” through. I say “walk” because you actually have to crawl through several bulkheads and most places you can barely stand up. These pictures don’t really do it justice…

I can’t imagine being on that thing for up to 3 months with over 70 people… I think I counted less than 20 bunks. I asked the guy who used to serve on it for the keys so I could take it out for a spin and he said sure as long as I return it with a full tank of diesel lol

I remember taking a look around the US WWII sub they have in Baltimore Harbour some years back. I could just imagine the smells aboard that thing when used in anger. BO, farts, diesel, oil, food, stale clothes, chlorine OHHHHHHHHHHH NO WAY

Ive seen Das Boot before but someone told me this was the real deal full length version.

IMDB says:

149 min / 209 min (director's cut) / 293 min (uncut version)

Hunt For Red October is another good "you'll never get me in one of those things" movies. :)
