i think you missunderstood what bill meant here. all of the examples that you gave were not only critics but also advocates for important positions. i think what bill meant was that no-one honors people whose sole position is criticism. further it seems to me as if 48 hours is plenty of time to respond to the initial questions. really, hh, who else does this? maybe it'll start a trend.

I repeat:

Criticism is what prevents corruption, lies, and evil from getting a foothold. Without criticism - dictators would remain in power. Without criticism, liars and hoaxters would flourish. And it certainly is not easy to be willing to explore both sides of any story. It requires you set your own personal beliefs and biases aside. For too many people, it's just too difficult.

Everyone who takes a position on any side of a controversy is an advocate for something Cartoon.

Oh and I thought of one more question for you Bill:

Question #4 - on the Project Camelot website you mentioned that Kerry has quite a list of planned interviews coming up. Are there any individuals that will be in the upcoming interviews that you could name - to wet everyone's appetite a bit?

Thanks again for the offer to answer everyone's questions!

i don't think that bill is militating against criticism per se. I think what he really had in mind is gratuitous carping. and i certainly agree with him. just bear in mind that for every critic that helped to bring about freedom there was another critic who aided in despotism. hitler was a critic. and washington was a critic. criticism for it's own sake is useless in the pursuit of truth and freedom.

How do you intend to achieve those three aims?

Especially since (it is my understanding) the Supreme Court struck down whistleblower protections lately.

I assume you meant "unless" in the pursuit of truth and freedom. In which case, I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.

Nice try Kim, but Bill knows us better than you do - so he knows better than that.

cartoonsyndicate:

Do you want to put it a sock in it for 48 hours, or at least try to stay on topic on one freakin' thread?

This thread is supposed to be our opportunity to ask Bill Ryan questions "in any detail that anyone wants" - not a platform for you to wave your pom-poms for Bill Ryan every chance you get and abuse other people for their questions.
Is this a private fight, or can anyone join in?

Toon - no one - including you - will ever be banned for supporting anyone, any website, any opinion, or anything else. All are very welcome here and I personally enjoy the intelligent dialog.

YOU risk being banned because you can't seem to comprehend the difference between your trolling behavior - which has been sprinkled in with rather intelligent posts - HH using an emoticon to show applause for someone's post, and you posting of a website link without comment or explaination.

Frankly, I'm not going to give you any more chances, or warnings. If you are banned again, and you are very, very close, hell will freeze over before you're ever allowed to particpate in this forum again. And I don't give a s^~t how other members feel about you, or your participation here.

Either learn to control your urge to troll - or be gone.

Always,
Shawnna
