Wacky, Unsupported Religious Claims

Postby You Can Call Me Ray » Tue Apr 20, 2010 4:55 pm

I feel we needed a thread to collect such things. God knows (pun intended) it could become quite voluminous. But how about we start out with a little claim that really lets us know just who we are dealing with when it comes to who is in charge in Iran?

Did you know promiscuous women cause earthquakes?

Promiscuous women are responsible for earthquakes, a senior Iranian cleric has said.

Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi told worshippers in Tehran last Friday that they had to stick to strict codes of modesty to protect themselves.

"Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which increases earthquakes," he said.

I guess that explains why we have so many earthquakes here in Southern California!

It would also explain why the Northeast enjoys about one earthquake every few decades. :)

You know, science warns us correlation does not imply causation but now that you mention it, you guys may be on to something here…

No it's perfectly supported by science. I'm sure somehow Zero Point Energy can explain the connection. And if we ask, I bet we can get a meta-physicist or two to provide a quote that the connection is *possible." And then...furthermore and therefore....I propose we put together a team of "engineers and scientists" to produce a product I'd like to call S.C.R.E.A.M. - which stands for "Scientifically Centered Replication Earthquake Antigravity Meter" which can predict an impending earthquake based on the local promiscuity graviton-particle levels.

Please go out and gather potential investors, Steve and I will put together the business plan. We already have one we can start with for an outline, so we don't have to start from scratch.

Heh, we're gonna rake it in.
If the borrowed business plan is anything to go by, we should look to be making $230 Billion out of this by the end of 2011. Easy!

Well, I was going to suggest we should market the S.C.R.E.A.M. meter through Adam & Eve as well as Edmund Scientific (with different packaging of course) but I see on the scientific front, somebody beat us to it…

But, but, but then the world might shake to pieces. Hey, that might not be such a bad thing, especially if all that shakin helped the Earth expand. The more population there is, the more land needed. More sex creates more land. Works for me!

(I know, twisted logic.)
