hi all.

just thought i would give a little introduction for all those that dont already know me from ATS and give you a few words on my beliefs etc.

im a huge sci fi and technology fan, and growing up on things such as star wars, alien etc is what got me interested in ufos.

i was kind of a blind believer in my younger days but i have become far more skeptical as ive got older and wiser.
my current stance is that i believe there is other life in this vast universe but i have no idea if we have been visited or not although im open to the possibility. i just seek truth and proof and try to rule out any ordinary explanation before accepting the extraordinary.

things i take my time up with: playstation 3, movies, watching football and boxing, reading, drawing.

current tv shows i watch: v, fringe, the event, top gear.

Hey Rich,

I grew up on Monkey myself (even seen the recent Chinese remake with...believe it or not...an actual Golden Monkey!!, it wasn't the same for me by a long shot - but still good in it's own way ((Also saw a Chinese Taggart!)))

Nice to greet you properly in your own welcome thread.

You were a true investigative asset to ATS and should that skill continue on here a genuine gem to the community of RU too.

Looking forward to seeing what you bring to the, currently barren, topics of the paranormal around here.

hi m0r,

well its obvious im a big fan of monkey, i have the series on dvd, ive also seen a chinese version which was poor and i have the two more recent movies on blue ray, monkey magic the movie which is very close to the japanese tv show and pretty good in my opinion, only downside is it has no english dubbing. and also the forbidden kingdom starring jet li and jackie chan which is also about monkey but is not the original journey to the west story, not the greatest of movies but has some good parts and its great to see jackie and jet together and jet does a decent monkey.

Just to touch upon the Kingdom story with Jet Li and Jackie Chan...I never knew that Monkey was Jet Li up until the end scene...

...My wife however knew it from the outset and thought I did too, as I"m such a fan, and so didn't mention it.

One of those ones where you just get duped as an everyday idiot I suppose!

yes i remember that, im a bit of a fan of damon albarn and blur/gorillaz etc that did that.

there's a recent playstation/xbox game called odyssey to the west based on monkey too.

I can offer a suitable conspiracy theory about that. First, note that Why Not was quite jealous that *my* welcome thread was bigger than his for a short time, despite being posted later.

So, what happened? It's quite obvious, dear reader. On a forum obviously populated by significant numbers of slightly geeky males, he posted Milla Jovovich imagery on his thread, pretending it was just a 'test'! How low can you get, how desperate?


Not that I'm bitter or anything.. oh no.

in fact i was quite mystified by our friend Why Nots comment, but that explains it. lol.
