I agree..I think that has to be one of his best videos, and in my opinion he performs it far better than NIN. :-)

I always say "that's his best song," but in honestly I say that about 80% of his songs. :-)

Aye it's hard to pick a particular one out from such a great musician isn't it? His version of that song though seems particularly poignant because it was his final one.

Anyone here ever heard of Canon Rock? From Wikipedia:

"Canon Rock" is a neo-classical metal arrangement of Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D major by the Taiwanese musician and composer Jerry Chang

Back in 2006, a young musician known as "MattRach" made a video with his early cover version of Chang's work. I think MattRach was only about 15 or so when he made this video and since then it has had 16,377,693 views on Youtube.

Some good stuff there from your Dad and his band Rich. I thought the singer there sounds very much like Jack Bruce in that Cream cover.

Did anyone here ever listen to the John Peel Show before he sadly passed away a few years ago? This was one of his all-time favourite songs. In fact it practically became his signature tune.

This next band I'm about to post also did some sessions on the Peel show back in the day.

Chris Payne, the bass player with The Members has been a close friend of mine for getting on forty years now. Anyway, they have a new video out "Midlife Crisis" and I just got it sent to me in my e-mail. JC (the main man in the video) would like it spread far and wide. There's a one minute lead-in then the muzak starts ...

Some great videos here! My own contribution: one from Joe Satriani, two from David T. Chastain, and one from Steve Stevens, Billy Idol's old guitarist. I've always preferred instrumental compilations, and all three of these gents specialize in not just instrumentals, but instrumentals featuring my favorite musical instrument. Chastain is admittedly more obscure than Senor Satriani, having never achieved the exposure or mass-appeal that fellow has enjoyed, but his playing is quite intense and more deeply influenced by fusion. I would say both are progressive metal guitarists, and such playing in the metal genre is what appeals to me the most. Steve Stevens may be an unknown quantity to most, as he was typically overshadowed by Billy Idol. His guitar playing, however, is worthy of note.
