For quite some time now I've been posting comments on the Facebook page of the excellent website http://www.2012hoax.org/ . This is a site that was started by Bill Hudson - aka "astrogeek" - with the specific purpose of debunking the 2012 "Doomsday" nonsense because quite a few people, many of whom are children or teenagers are scared witless by this rubbish, even to the point of suicide in some cases. So Bill started the site in order to try to do something about it.
Since it started in January 2009 it has proved to be a great success, with many people visiting to get the scientific facts and many have thankfully been reassured as a result. The site has also attracted the support and visits of many well-known scientists, such as Brian Cox, Neil deGrasse Tyson and David Morrison, to mention just a few.
As for the fictional planet Nibiru, this has often become tied in to the 2012 Doomsday predictions by the doom peddlars and it is frequently discussed over on the website and on the Facebook page. Here's a very good article on the website about it.
Now to the actual subject of this thread, "The Battle of Nibiru." In October last year Dr David Morrison of NASA uploaded the following video to Youtube, after he had received an e-mail from a 12 year-old girl saying she and her classmates were scared by it:
(To read the comments at YT, click on the title "The Truth About Nibiru" at the top.)
Since it was uploaded, the video has attracted masses of comments ((3,583 as I write and counting) and seems to have become the Clapham Junction of Youtube Nibiru arguments. Plenty of Nibiru fans on there, failing to present any actual evidence as usual and I think at least half the population of 2012hoax.org is on there as well. And doing some sterling work as well I might add.
Over the last few days I've made quite a number of comments as well, with my Youtube handle @bugbait42 and will quite likely make more. If anyone else reading this thread fancies joining the party on YT on the side of the good guys, in helping to present the facts, please dive in. Of course, it's unlikely you'll get any sensible replies from the Nibiruists, but at least you'll be able to find out what it's like being a "government-paid shill" and maybe earn enough to buy the missus a new washing machine or something.

And if anyone wishes to join the debate on the side of the Nibiruists, (which I would imagine is unlikely by members of Reality Uncovered!) you will be very welcome as long as you can present actual scientific evidence to support it!
By the way, Youtube comments isn't the best place for debates, because of the 500 character limit for each comment, you can't put direct links and the comments often appear out of sequence, even in "sort by thread" mode, (which is still the best way to view them incidentally.)
As you will see by reading the comments, the Nibiruists frequently avoid answering legitimate scientific questions put to them, such as "what are the RA/DEC co-ordinates for Nibiru?" Many of their comments consist of going off at a tangent and accusing us all of being paid debunkers working for "The Government" (not certain which one) and / or NASA.
Actually though it doesn't really matter that the proponents either ignore the questions or give ridiculous answers, because the whole point of this exercise is to show those who are scared by this Nibiru tripe that the proponents are full of bs and with just about every comment they make, or question they ignore, they score an own goal anyway.
And the great thing about the comments being under a video uploaded by David is we know the comments won't get deleted by the uploader, as sometimes happens with comments presenting scientific facts under a video uploaded by a proponent.
